Nitin Matani

Mr. Nitin Matani

President / Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Nitin Matani graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1984 and holds a Masters Degree in Plastics Engineering. He started his career at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems as manager of the Extrusion / Coating Department. Mr. Matani was the founder of Danforth Biomedical, Inc. in 1989. In 1999 he negotiated the merger of Danforth biomedical, Inc with ACT Medical, Inc; and in 2001 he engineered the acquisition of ACT Medical, Inc. by MedSource Technologies, Inc.

In April of 2003, Mr. Matani transitioned from MedSource Technologies, Inc. and founded Produxx, Inc. where he was the President and Chief Executive Officer. In late 2003, Produxx, Inc. merged with Tactx Medical, Inc. This merge increased the company’s capabilities, capacity, and acquired additional product offerings and technologies.

Mr. Doug Wilkins

V.P of Operations / Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Doug Wilkins graduated from University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Plastics Engineering. He began his career at American Hospital Supply in 1985 as an R&D and Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. In 1987, he began a position as a Sr. R&D engineer for the development of PTCA products with Advanced Cardiovascular Systems. In 1991, he founded Infinity Extrusion and Engineering, Inc. and held the position of V.P. of Operations. Mr. Wilkins negotiated the sale of Infinity to Microvena Corporation where he continued to lead the company in its revenue growth until he started Tactx Medical, Inc. in March of 2002. As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Tactx Medical, Inc. he agreed to merge with Produxx, Inc. in late 2003.

Jeff Kraus

Mr. Jeff Kraus

V.P. of Engineering
Mr. Jeff Kraus received a Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical Engineering in 1987 and has eighteen years of medical device experience. He currently holds fifteen U.S. patents relating to catheters and disposable devices.

Mr. Jeff Kraus began his career at Guidant in 1987 as a Development Engineer in the Peripheral group. In 1989, he became the Cofounder of Danforth biomedical, Inc. and worked as the Director of Engineering. He was responsible for catheter based product development, pilot manufacturing and the transfer of technology. Mr. Kraus held the title of Director of Engineering of Catheter Development for ACT Medical Inc. and then MedSource Technologies, Inc from 1999-2000. In 2003, he became the Co-Founder of Produxx, Inc.

John Vanden Hoek

Mr. John Vanden Hoek

Director of Business Development
Mr. John Vanden Hoek joined Tactx Medical, Inc. in January of 2007 as the Director of Business Development bringing over thirty-three years of experience in areas of engineering, product and business development. He began his career as an engineer for several very successful start-ups including IMED, Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, and then moved to Medtronic where he held the position of Principal Engineer.

For the last twenty years prior to Tactx Medical, Inc., he held director positions at the following companies: Surgical Laser Technologies, Clarus Medical, Emed, Acorn Cardiovascular and Cardiovascular Systems. Mr. Vanden Hoek holds twenty four patents for medical devices including patents for Angioplasty Catheters, Artherectomy, and Thrombectomy Devices, Cardiovascular Implants, and surgical instruments.
